This reminds me of something I read about the time Charles Bukowski and William Burroughs were reading at the same event, and staying the same hotel. When Bukowski was asked if he wanted to meet Burroughs, he said "No", and when Burroughs was asked if he wanted to meet Bukowski, he said "No".
