If Biden defeats both the Trump conspiracy to sabotage or nullify the coming election and Trump himself, it appears nearly certain that he will give Trump and his family the broadest possible blanket pardon in exchange for leaving the White House quietly.
There will probably be a smear or two of horseradish about, as Cuomo puts it, "pivoting" to "reconciliation," AKA "binding up the Nation's wounds," "reaching out to our [dear] friends across the aisle," and all the rest of that. I don't know whether the pardon authority extends or can be stretched to any future offense or crime not currently under investigation, but if this is possible, IMO, it will be done. As far as NY State is concerned, I believe Cuomo also has pardon authority and could be expected to pardon Trump himself as needed if Biden asks him to.
