An important heads up, particularly to yahoo.com subscribers ... *Bottom line, if you find yourself mysteriously unsubscribed from marxmail because of a spam report, read the below in detail to solve the problem.*
Groups.io takes great pride in their email lists not contributing to spam. As a result, they have a strict policy that if you or your internet service provider marks a marxmail email as spam, groups.io will IMMEDIATELY unsubscribe you. This happens about once a week since we started using groups.io. until today only yahoo.com subscribers have been unsubbed. Today someone from erols.com was unsubbed. You have three choices if and when this happens to you. One is that groups.io will send you a resubscribe invite that you can accept, and then back you are. The problem, as I discovered from experimenting with a yahoo.com account, is that the resubscribe invite will go into your spam where's you may not see it. Two, subscribe from gmail.com. it is free and works well and so far has not presented any difficulties of this kind.I test this on mine but since I'm an owner of the list I don't want to mess around. Third, don't mark marxmail as spam. If you are getting too many emails from marxmail that annoy you, consider getting the digest delivered daily, or consider getting a summary of the emails daily and clicking and reading them on the web interface. Or choose "no email" option (though Lou is considering disabling this option) and just read what you want on the web. The web interface for posting to marxmail is simple and works well. Note that, according to groups.io, an email provider can itself automatically mark as spam and return a spam report without you knowing it.
