Max Power writes: "I think the major split in the ruling class has been going on for a long time, and came to a head after Trump's election. Unfortunately, those who call themselves socialists today have either aligned themselves with or are part of this split, and would be (already are) hostile to any type of working class movement."
Yes, the split has been going on for quite some time now, but it seems it may be reaching a head. That was my point. Regarding Max Power's second point: There is a thin line between socialists aligning themselves with one side of the capitalist class in such a split and simply saying "a plague on both your houses" and ignoring it. The point is that the working class won't ignore it if a major layer of the capitalist class and their representatives (e.g. the non-profiteers and the union leadership) move to actually mobilize a movement. Such a mobilization would come with all the confusions - American flags, calls for "our democracy" and for Biden, etc. To simply stand on the sidelines and denounce it because of that is childishness at best.
