I'm wondering when my old chums in Spiked will adopt Carl Schmitt and his ideas. I think that Piccone's statement, cited by Louis, pretty much sums up the state of play in the Revolutionary Communist Party when it gave up the ghost to become Spiked back in 1997: '... h alf of our editors have retired intellectually and burned out politically, the other half [are] rapidly becoming senile, cynical or purely careerist, while the rest are beset by a combination of both…'
