You are assuming this whole cottage industry of stories about Trump refusing to 
give up power comes from the White House.  It makes more sense to me that these 
stories are coming from Democrat sources or sources friendly to the Dems to 
rally the support of their base.  If that is so, it seems to be proving 
effective.
