I think that is a very good statement of purpose. I liked LBO while it lasted. Doug didn't moderate as strictly as you and I think it caused a bit of slipping.
Here, though, I wish that there was more back and forth. It helps me to think through things if I participate in a bit of throwing about of brains. Not that it matters much but I will give you a "Yes" for your moderation! It is not an easy thing to do. Then there were some lists, that were highly exclusive. I once tried to join the FOM list (Foundations of Mathematics) but I was blackballed because I admitted I was not an academic. I simply study a lot of math and was interested in the subject. Comparatively, you are both inclusive and exclusive at the same time.
