Max Ajl's negative review includes this observation: "Forest-dwellers,
small peasants, the rural proletariat, the lumpenproletariat do not
appear." Funny that an Assadist would complain along these lines. In all
the bullshit Ajl ever wrote about Syria, there was little concern about
such people.
