Same old garbage from the usual sources. Better to hear from Reds. And how best to approach the history of the USSR and put it context for the unpoliticized? Here is an article I wrote ( https://almarkowitz.blogspot.com/2017/11/the-bolshevik-centennial-lessons-for.html ) for a non-political local culture rag on the centennial of the Bolshevik Revolution. Not the kind of deep analysis you would see here or in Monthly Review but I take Lenin's dictum to "carefully explain" seriously and attempt to do so in recognition of where our neighbors are in their limited and tainted understanding of such history. I am, unlike many here, no pedigreed scholar but a survivor of the clock-punching class who does my best to move a class-conscious perspective forward.
