Poland: Revolution in times of the pandemic

"Poland is a largely Catholic country, which is transforming into a secular
society, based on human rights and gender equality.”

I recall that Quebec was often regarded as dominated by the Catholic Church.
"Priest-ridden” was an expression that you would see from time to time.
But today I’m not sure if there is a province in Canada that is more secular
that Quebec.

I think of this when I see commentators such as Chris Hedges lamenting the
impact of evangelical Christians on US politics. That impact is real and it
will not be dispelled simply by the advocacy of secular groups. But
neither is it a fixed quantity, something in the DNA of those born into
evangelical churches. It can only be be diminished by the experiences that
these evangelicals have in their own lives. Who is to say that they will not
have such experiences?

If the influence of right-wing churches were so powerful and unassailable, can
you think of any union organizing drive that would have been successful in US
history?
