Tonight my mentor, comrade, and dear friend Leo Panitch died. Five weeks ago, he was diagnosed with multiple myeloma, and while receiving treatment in the hospital contracted Covid-19. This caused viral pneumonia, making it almost impossible for him to breathe. These past few days have been difficult beyond words. It is impossible for me to fathom his absence. Without Leo I would not be who I am today, and I can't help but feel that a part of me has died with him tonight. His passing has left a hole in my life that will be impossible to ever fill.
