Don't know how many know this but Liz Theoharis' dad is the historian Athan Theoharis who was a strong researcher into FBI misconduct in the mis-named "McCarthy era" --- his book Seeds of Repression dates that set of activities to the Truman Administration --- He later served as a principal researcher of the Church Committee which uncovered scads of examples of FBI misconduct --- particularly against the left .... Theoharis senior is an emeritus professor of history at Marquette University and his bibliography includes lots of good works. I certainly read them with profit back in the 1970s ....
