In response to topsystclare, there are socialst / Marxist parties, that do run candidates in presidential elections. I belong to one such party. We do it not so much to win elections, but to raise awareness of issues, the failues of capitalism and imperialism, and as an advanced form of outreach. We do want to grow our parties, and would appreciate all the members and volunteers we can get.
