Yes, a good reading of Joe Allen's pieces in Jacobin on Logistics is needed. Just putting in "logistics" into Jacobin's search field will reveal a lot of pieces on the issue of logistics, written my others as well. But it really the theme of your piece than needs updating/filling out even more around substituting the invisible hand (and foot in the ass) of the Market for that of planning. That is the real ideological card advocates of free enterprise try to hold over those that advocate socialist planning.
