Louis, This is a very good, well thought out, well researched piece,but I have two questions for you. Do you disagree with the statement there is a new, and distinct, form of fascism growing in America? Secondly ,if fascism has emerged in America in the 21st Century, why would it follow the models seen in Europe in the 20th Century? One thing we ,as socialists ,have been told all along, is that if real socialism ever came to America ,it would not look like any form of socialism that existed anywhere else in the past. Why would the same not be true of fascism? I know I am not the first person to make this point. That,and different historical circumstances might cause different forms of fascism to emerge, as they would with socialism.
