Paul Buhle is a total treasure --- he and Mari Jo have an incredibly
important political, scholarly, influential partnership --- Each in her/his
own right have made fantastic contributions to America (not to mention
American radicalism) [watch for a new edition of the ENCYCLOPEDIA OF THE
AMERICAN LEFT sometime later this year!] This review makes me want to
buy all three books! (Rectifying a ridiculous gap in my personal library
that never included Souls of Black Folk)
