“It's a good slogan.  Of course it's simplistic. But there's nothing IMO more
simplistic in the long run than a superficially critical stance that eschews
slogans only to remain irreducibly sub-middlebrow and that therefore is useless
both politically and intellectually.”

"All the same wish I knew more about the situation on the ground with the
alleged Portland "antifa."   Who are they and what's the big picture
surrounding them?"

I’m not certain what’s up w/ the third sentence but I’m sure I don’t disagree.

W/ demand or slogans it can be more effective (excluding the likes of We’re
queer…We’re here… Get used to it) to speak to your demand(s) or what your
about. Say…

Defund the Police or Hunts Point on Strike Teamsters Local 202 or Open a Second
Front

Peace Land and Bread. It worked. It got the point across. At least for one
campaign

I didn’t find any new material, after 10/2020, from Portland antifa groups but
I’m only using the internet; not any of the contemporary platforms that folks
use more readily these days.
