VERYGOOD ARTICLE -- very informative for US readers who (like me) are quite
ignorant of European realities ...
But unfortunately, the writer does NOT attempt to answer the big question
-- can "it" be regained?
I think in some ways we in the US have it easier -- we never had a "social
democratic" ascendancy as in Europe --- particularly Scandanavia --- our
version was incredibly mild (the capital-labor accord of the post 1950
period that ended with the Powell memo of 1971 {?} ) --- and we have really
been whipsawed by neoliberalism --- so that the mild reforms proposed by
Biden are WILDLY POPULAR --
