In the wake of the police murder of George Floyd and Breonna Taylor, a
broader public was introduced to what was until then an elementary truth
among radical thinkers and activists: the very function of the police
consists in the reproduction of a capitalist, white supremacist,
patriarchal, and heteronormative order.
