Let me say something about the number of subscribers. We had close to
1500 on the Utah server but a lot of it was dead wood. Les and I
discussed paying for the premium version of groups.io but decided
against it so as to make sure we only had subscribers who were
motivated. The premium version would have allowed us to take the Utah
mailing list and transfer it in toto. We are much better off now with
the free version that does not allow us to add people. Instead, they
must initiate the subscription themselves.
In my humble opinion, the list is better than ever even though it has
"only" 614 subscribers. The level of discussion is higher than I've ever
seen it and the static is at an all time low except for the bedbug that
sneaks in from time to time to show off his Krafft-Ebing type obsession
over me.
