The key component for understanding this development further is if Left Voice can truck with the idea of these Black radicals remaining independent and autonomous of the Left Voice project, which I gather is aligned with some strain of Trotskyism. There's a rather unfortunate habit of Trots not having the capacity or understanding to see Black national liberation as fully-functional unless it is under the larger Trot tent. Furthermore, this really does not delve fully into the kind of politics within this "Black socialist" matrix. It would be interesting if they were a little more in-depth and engaged with exploring that system. The schisms away from the national BLM Network are not original news, Black Agenda Report was carrying these headlines more than 6 months ago if memory serves. Jared Ball at IMixWhatILike published a video interview with the major dissidents within the network last month. So I would like to see something new added to the discussion. It is a tremendous opportunity for Left Voice to educate readers about the unique nuances and strains of Black radical socialist traditions. But will they do that? The major stumbling block is that a good portion of that tradition was pro-Soviet or pro-China, case and point the Black Panther Party's Maoism or Harry Haywood's adamant denunciations of Trotsky in his memoirs. Will Trots be willing to acknowledge that as "legitimate" or consign a huge portion of that tradition to the dustbin of "Stalinism"?
