(George worked closely with Joe Hansen putting out Intercontinental
Press. A lot of the pro-Russian dissident material was translated by
George, who did it professionally in his day job. I didn't know him that
well but he was the kind of person I'd like to think made life in a

Dear friends,
Some of you attended the virtual memorial meeting for our dear departed
comrade George Shriver that his daughter Jennifer presented last
November. Jennifer had intended to edit it, but hasn’t yet been able to
do so, so she decided to release the “uncut” version, so that people who
fondly remember George but weren’t able to attend the virtual meeting
could see it.
In my opinion, this “uncut” version is fine. I don’t think it needs
much editing. You may enjoy watching the first six minutes, as familiar
faces join the event, or you may prefer jumping to the six-minute mark,
when the playing of the “Internationale” officially opens the memorial
meeting.
George led a remarkable, and remarkably productive, life. I will miss
him and know many of you will, too.
