Yes, but first we must understand that vast wealth can be supported by tiny 
incomes  if the lifespan of items we need are made as long as possible,  items 
are easy to repair, and recycling is a rule.  
With those policies and with a stable population, then inheritance could 
provide vast durable wealth for future generations without any need for high 
rates of resource consumption.
