The pandemic has upended ideas about economic ideology almost as much as
it has upended the economy itself. There has been a massive shift of
wealth toward billionaires and corporate giants like Amazon, at the
expense of workers suffering the most sudden and severe wave of
unemployment and impoverishment since the Great Depression. But there
has also been paradigm-shifting federal stimulus legislation that has
massively (if temporarily) expanded unemployment insurance and
