Christian Parenti gets into the class-essentialism business. His rancid
article tries to establish that in Tennessee, the birthplace of the KKK,
blacks were "underrepresented" in police killings. Reed, Parenti, et al
fail to recognize that blacks did not rise up because black gang members
or other miscreants died in gun battles with the cops. It was instead
unarmed blacks being stopped for a petty traffic violation that turned
this country upside down. What a bunch of morons.
