Due to the crisis of leadership with the Stalinists who want peaceful
co-existence and the 3rd campers seeing nothing to defend against
Imperialism through intimidation trying to maximise the capitalist
inroads within Russia and China is causing paralysis. Is this the
reason the Stop the War Coalition leadership is not organising enough
emergency protests about dangers of an accidental war with Russia and
China which they concede is a major danger.
It is essential to stop the threat to continued human life on Earth
which Noam Chomsky mentions on a programme on how some of the outraged
liberals who went individual terrorists around the Weaterpeople
underground. Chomsky made this point on that history documentary which
appears on a leading British capitalist historian Dan Snow. Snow's
youtube history documentary is called Timeline. Despite Chomsky right
wing line on Bolshevism he has not forgot either the capitalist crimes.
He can clearly see the environmental crisis; Covid 19; and threat of
nuclear war posing a major threat to whether humanity survives in the
next period.
Whatever differences the Trotskyists like me; the Stalinists; and
semi-3rd campers have in the Stop the War Coalition should work together
to stop the Imperialist war drive against Russia and China. This is why
we should build the Stop the War Coalition as a united front to stop
nuclear suicide.
It is a major step forward the campaign are beginning to realise dangers
of accidental war with Russia and China. There are two major mistakes
to avoid. One is not to mobilise before a major incident occurs. A
related error is to rely on the Imperialist ruling classes to restrain
the hotheads in time. As Lenin argued the left are not spectators but
should intervene to change history. Due to layers of the masses seeing
all the online sites and capitalist papers openly talking about World
War 3 could build potentially bigger protests than the 2 million which
was organised against the Iraq War of 2003.
American Trotskyist James P Cannon argued in the struggle for the
Proletarian Party theory is actually important as practice. He said
sometimes agreements have to be made with forces making left turns in
the mass movement. One example was the Bolshevik agreement with the
Left Social Revolutionaries to implement the October 1917 Russian
Socialist revolution.
In periods of profound capitalist crisis despite the Russian and Chinese
Stalinist castes wanting to live with world capitalism in peace they
will not because they need the workers' states which still remain to
fully to become capitalist The Russian and Chinese Stalinist castes
still while wanting to make deals with Imperialism arm themselves to the
teeth so Imperialism cannot overthrow them. Without this Imperialism
would have completed the restoration of capitalism.
3rd campers downplay things to defend in the workers' states against
capitalist restoration. They cannot explain why Imperialism in
particular targeting the Russian and Chinese workers' states. Some of
the 3rd camp groups are to the right of the Stop the War Coalition by
downplaying war dangers. Those who support Taiwan which is a capitalist
state against the Chinese workers' state have crossed class lines.
