Thanks for interest in what I'm driving at. 😉 First, we can agree that data is good. Attached is a data table on homicides by race and by sex. While it does not break it down to by-race-and-sex so that we would know the figures for Black women compared with white women, the point is that basic data like this is available. You can learn the lay of the land from this table, then combine it with overall population data and calculate some rates of homicide per 100,000 persons.
But these authors had to keep themselves busy, so they got into the correlation game. Correlation is not data and is not causation, period. *The politics:* The authors promote a grab-bag of liberal reforms. The correlation game is an attempt to endow them with some presumed efficacy. But their work is shabby, which means conservatives can easily counter with their observations. Look at the attached basic data. One table strongly implies that it is Black men killing Black women. U.S. capitalist society has entered the stage of obvious disintegration ( http://www.hollowcolossus.com ).
