While it may seem that Israel calls the shots and US imperialism meekly obeys, the truth is that Israel (as I seem to recall the late Richard Nixon said) "is the US cop in the Middle East." Biden's blank check of support is merely the recognition that things would be pretty bleak for Uncle Sam without a strong settler state to serve as loyal watchdog.
