As my modest knowledge is saying to me that only proves that is a form for an illegal organization such as the Bolsheviks and that worked only because of the specific situation in Russia during WWI. Ye such organizational form is used in other communist parties such as Yugoslavia or Vietnam but there was no revolutionary crisis. Those parties took leadership in the fight for national liberation from occupation or colonialism and got control of the Army, which gave them the conditions they used to take power. It is important to realize that taking power did not bring social revolution and socialism in those countries just control of the state by the party, but not all the party and its members, because there was no democracy in those parties ( because the accepted organizational form ) and that all finished in various form of Stalinism.
