Mark: (i) Thank you. You rightly point out the birth-sec order of siblings. I had left this out - but you are right, it is an important piece in any definitive future work-review. The general effect is likely similar to the one that I was pointing to of extra-uterine effects - Environment-> mother -> Trans-placental passage. Although the difference is that this is not an 'Endocrine Disruptor Chemical EDC)' per se but maybe an immune effect as the paper you kindly appended shows. (ii) The issue of being cautious on: ""The external environment in capitalist society abounds with oppression and alienation, all of which provoke major hormonal fluxes." By the stage of getting to that part, I was (a0 running out of time and energy and mental space..! (b) Cognisant that this was a huge topic... So I punted. it deserves a further companion piece, which if I get through the next few months (lots of deadlines) I may tackle. but there is a lot of such data trickling in. I don't expect anyone to trust my word, which is why I may write about. but we under-estimate what the world does to us and screws us all up. Especially the susceptible young pregnant woman.
