I think that we fall into the US-Israeli propaganda trap by debating how horrible 10/7 was or was not. Their strategy is to shift the debate from the fact that over 12k Palestinian children and over 20k adults have even killed by US and Israeli munitions; the overwhelming majority of the US/Israeli victims, just like the 1.2k deaths on the Israeli side from the Hamas attack, were innocent. The Hamas attack resulted in about 240 hostages. I don't know how many Palestinians have been taken prisoner, some stripped naked, masked, and humiliated.
Rather than debating whether of not sexual violence was committed on a much smaller scale, why don't we focus on the historical causes behind 10/7 and the asymmetric violence of a state power against a stateless people in the Occupied Territories, and why they are called occupied territories? And the number of innocent lives lost, on both sides, to state-sponsored violence rather than the fanatical group the Netanyahu and Israeli have helped to install and who have maintained in power for years despite Hamas public policy of treating civilians and children as military combatants?
