Much as I hate to disagree with Comrade Marv --- and I do , this is not a gratuitous aside ---- I would like to (everyone knows what's coming) agree with the reviewer that Trump and Trumpism are a "fascism on the march" --- I do --- however -- agree that the swipe at "identity politics fanatics" was worthless (and actually to this person, not steeped in sectarian arguments, undecipherable.)
I agree that the review is VERY THOUGHTFUL and useful --- that brief scene with Truman was VERY USEFUL --- and I hope it was sharp enough (even though very short) to remind us that Truman committed war crimes when he dropped the bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki ---- I wonder if that reviewer is going to take on "A Compassionate Spy" about Ted Hall (who does NOT show up in the film --- in part because very few people knew of his work before 1995) which was made by Dave Lindorff (Dave also wrote the book SPY FOR NO COUNTRY about Hall and his work ....)
