[I didn't read the essay]. There were thousands of Jewish folks who joined various Fascist group. None really joined the Nazis as that was anti-Jewish, but much of indigenous Fascism was simply not anti-Semitic. Most notably the Italian Fascist Party. Eventually, under pressure from Hitler, they did expel their Jewish members but I don't remember when. The Ustashi also had Croatian-Jews as members either those who converted to Christianity (Catholicism) and supposedely his wife, Mara, was Jewish but I've only heard that as urban legend. They were officially anti-Jewish and cooperated with the Nazis in running concentration death camps in Croatia. The original Irgun leaders trained, btw, at the Italian Fascist navy base in northern Italy. There also existed a large Yiddish speaking Fascist group in Poland.
