"From the river to the sea has also long been used by ultra zionists as an aspiration too, and it is specifically an anti-palestinian slogan. As the Times of Israel <https://www.timesofisrael.com/from-the-river-to-the-sea-the-slogan-that-led-to-rashida-tlaibs-censure-explained/>d-- no anti-zionest publication -- explains it is a concept used in the founding document of Netanyu's LIikud Party, and is reflected in Right-wing Israeli's goal of keeping all the occupied lands won in the 1967 war as part of 'Greater Israel, referred to in Hebrew as Eretz Yisrael, which refers to all the historical lands that at one time or another were said in the Torah to have been given to the Jews by God to take as their own by (by violent and brutal conquest of the inhabitants, the Canaanites. That biblical land is said by right ring zionists to basically match the territory under control of today's Israeli state, including Gaza and all of the West Bank. To say that "from the river to the sea' is an anti-semitic call for the extermination or exzpulsion of Jews is simply ignorant or deliberately lying in the case of Jewish-American organizations trying to have it labeled as hate speech. For.a ccptured people subject to apartheid laws in a religious state to claim that they "should be free" in the land of of Palestine from where their grandparents lived and from which many of them were driven by the Israelis between 1948 and the present and to put that in a rhyming slogan saying "From the river to the see Palestinians will be free" is not a call to slaughter or ethnic cleansing, any more than a call by American blacks saying "We shall be free" is a call to eliminate white people from the boundaries of the United States. It is exactly what it says: a call for freedom. The history of the term and its use by zionist Jews as well as by Palestinians is rarely given in by those trying to silence protests for palestinian freedom from terror and erasure at the hands of the Jewish state of Israel.
