We had several hundred people gather in Portland, Oregon US:

I chanted "from the river to the sea" with the rest and wondered what happened
to the slogan from a half-century ago, "for a democratic, secular Palestine."
It occurred to me that the principal backers of the Palestinian Arabs today are
petrostates that are not secular nor democratic, and this has held back the
struggle in the past and continues to.
And, of course, why would people in the US chant either of those slogans, which
are aspirational and not actionable. There were a few signs at the rally that
called for the US government, the only government we can struggle against, to
stop arming Israel. And it occurred to me that a lack of clear goals and
strategy continue to hold back the struggle to support Palestine in the US.
