True, you said "freeing Syrotiuk is important", but you also made it contingent on " strengthening democratic workers organizations in Ukraine...in their effort to counter war-time authoritarianism". This can only be understood to mean you would not call for his release now, particularly in view of your stated position that it and the complementary un-banning of the WSWS would "provide support to the Russian invasion." I won't belabour the point since the issue of support for one capitalist state or alliance against another has been hotly contested on this list since the war began except to say it does seem to be special pleading on behalf of the pro-war socialist position. As I said.
