Kudos to MP Jeremy Corbyn. He was ousted from the labour party led by
Starmer by their shamelessly smearing him with the bogus 'anti=semitism"
charge that is being bandied about so vilely here in the US -- the claim
promoted by the ADL and AIPAC that criticizing the Israeli government and
IDF or Zionism is "antisemitic." The ousted Cortbyn, instead of walking
away and hanging up his MP badge took it to the voters in his district and
ran a virtually no-budget local campaign against the puppet candidate put
up against him by Starmer and his centrist gang. Corbyn despite the almost
universal dissing he got from the media, triumphed gaining 24,000 votes to
his Labour party opponent's paltry 16,000, a whopping 50% margin of
victory for Corbyn. Now Starmer and the pro-NATO, pro-nuclear weapons, US
patsy Starmer,xz xzxzx zz will have to worry
that the many left Labor MPs who were elected in yesterdays romp will rally
around Corbyn and pull the Labour party back to the left.
That will be a novel situation if he can manage to do it over the
next few years. Labour, with the brief moment when young voters stunned the
party leadership electing Jeremy as Party leader and it looked for a time
like he might defeat May in a snap election she had called. Otherwise the
party hasn't been trully socialist since since the days of Harold Willson,
or perhaps even Clement Attlee. Certainly Tony Blair, the Bill Clinton of
Britain, began a process of driving lefties out of the Labour Partry, But
times are getting harder in post-Brexit Britain, and it would appear that a
new swing to the left for Labour could happen,
It's at least interesting to see Btritain tossing off 14 years of
uninterrupted Tory rule, and a whopping majority of votors saying they've
had it with the era of cutting social services, especiallhy the National
Health that began with Margaret Thatcher in 1979 almost half a century ago.
even as most of Europe and the US appears to be moving towards right-wing
populism and fascism. In the UK, the anti-immigrant, pro-Brexit populist
Nigel Farage managed on his seventh try to get elected to parliament, but
his party Reform UK only won four seats.
