*France: Which Tactics towards the Popular Front?*

The second round of the French parliamentary elections ended in a
victory for the so-called left-wing parties. The /Nouveau Front
Populaire/ (New Popular Front, NFP) got 182 – resp. 193 if one includes
their allies – of 577 seats. The alliance of President Macron received
174, the right-wing RN 143 and the conservative Republicans 60 seats.
The turnout was again very high (66.6%), an increase of 20.4% compared
to the last elections.
