The Venezuelan government admitted two sorts of foreign election observers: 1) Qualified technical observers from the Carter Center, the UN, and others. The Maduro government has taken pride in their examination and resulting approval of previous elections. 2) Political journalists, etc. whom the government knows want a Maduro victory.
The latter performed predictably, as the several of their flawed statements posted here by Chris Slee exemplify. Typical of their method is to examine not facts on the ground but some propaganda from the Western media, culminating in the ridiculous logic that if the latter are flawed, then Maduro must have won. This year, contrary to past elections, the qualified technical observers have documented Maduro chicanery.
