The movement has benefitted women of every class in combatting patriarchical attitudes and institutions, but has benefitted educated women professionals most of all. Unlike the feminist fightback collective you cited previously, most of these women look for inspiration to Hillary Clinton, Cheryl Sandberg, Mary Barra, Jane Fraser, Angela Merkel et al for inspiration. They rarely if ever identify with their lower-income sisters and certainly not with the working class as a whole. Their gaze is focused on breaking through the glass ceiling and sharing power with their male counterparts. The same is true of other movements based on particular identities. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Groups.io Links: You receive all messages sent to this group.
