I corrected that in the article to reflect that and wrote: "*Note: This article was corrected to reflect the fact that the Code Pink event with Cornel West happened last year; it is not coming up this year as we originally had thought. Oaklandsocialist apologizes for not having looked at that closely enough."* The fundraiser for West was scheduled to be held at a reception immediately prior to the forum. Maybe it was only for West personally rather than for his election campaign. That's entirely possible given his financial situation.
