Trump's coin operated and apparently seen as a good bet for a libertarian clique of billionaires to ward off anti-trust and regulation of the industry in surveillance, social-media effects, and an enormous concentration of wealth gleaned from technology and used against us. The author has his own prejudices: "I, too, am a techno-optimist, and I believe that the world is largely better off because of the avalanche of technologies that have emerged over the past two decades."
