The topic is kind of interesting and the author raises several issues. I don't think based on large gap between what Russia says it will do and what it actually does that any of this will lead to "WWIII". Hitting another 100km Russian military targets will provoke an ICBM response from Russia. The only country threatening nuclear war in the last 3 years is Russia. Russia, that is Putin, *stated* that any Ukrainian troops who invade the "Russian Motherland" would provoke them into using tactical nuclear weapons. Medvedev, Putin's poodle, has stated this on multiple occasions... with Ukrainian troops now having crossed the border and holding Russian land for 3 months, still, the use of tactical nukes has yet to occur. On every occasion when Ukrainians have used US weapons, or their own, to hit deeper inside Russia, Putin has declared the possible use of weapons against NATO countries. Yet nothing ever happens. I am underwhelmed by Russian responses to what they say is an increase by NATO and the US attacks on Russia (they mean, as does the author of this short article, that the Ukrainians are simply a NATO army thus NATO has to take responsibility, etc etc.
