Thank you Antony Brain & Wm Quimby. Can you deconstruct what Kentridge is driving at there? I confess that I am conflicted about him. Undoubtedly a tremendously talented artist. In this following youtube - he explores the myths of the Sibyl and Perseus around fate and 'fates'. Now admittedly, in this presentation he is in the middle of the pandemic at that stage, so must be weighed. But he throughout has such an overt *fatalism*. "death grows its tree inside you"... noting else is solid. See the sequence of the collapsing chairs. And hear his explanation for it.
