But which Palestinian factions are we talking about? I do not know if this was the case in recent years, but historically the Assad family regime maintained and supported Palestinian factions that were opposed to the PLO leadership and largely under the control of the Syrian state. (PFLP- General Command may have been one) Are these the "factions" referenced in the post? SR
