1 The Palestinians, broadly speaking, have three options. One is to resist, as is happening now. It is their right as an occupied people. We can see the consequences in Israeli brutality. 2 The Palestinians follow the path followed by the Quizling PA administration in the West Bank, doing Israel's bidding and are arresting members of the resistance. The result of that is the dispossession in slow motion. Land confiscation continues. 3 The Palestinians attempt to run an independent 'statelet' of discontinuous fragments of land without antagonizing or aiding Israel. Since stances either side of this 'third way' result in ethnic cleansing, there is no reason to believe this option would be any different. So how is this Hamas' fault for being "Israel's loyal enemy"? The only thing that has happened is that the process has accelerated. Look at the number of Palestinians killed in the years before Oct 7, 2023. Palestinians were dying anyway. Sure, Hamas was, in part, the creation of rhe Israeli state, intended to divide the Palestinians. But the other factions are fighting too, the PFLP, DFLP, PIJ, some Fatah groups, other groups are all fighting and supporting the resistance.
