Back in the day, U.S. Presidents would try to boost a shaky stock market with anodyne platitudes about the fundamentals being sound. What does that even mean? The stock market is not based on "fundamentals." It is based on greed, speculation, irrationalism, and momentum. *TRUMP TEAM INTERNALLY FLOATS SELLING NVIDIA H200 CHIPS TO CHINA doesn't necessarily mean NVIDIA will soon be selling H200 chips to China. It might even be a prelude to *TRUMP REJECTS SELLING NVIDIA H200 CHIPS TO CHINA ricocheting around social media hours after Don Jr. and Eric have liquidated their positions.
