I recently read an article about the role of the scientists, and engineers who knowingly contaminated planet earth with PFAS, https://www.propublica.org/article/3m-forever-chemicals-pfas-pfos-inside-story - the article claimed that anyone with a undergraduate-level knowledge of chemistry could immediately tell by the PFAS molecular makeup would not break down in the environment. Yet, they remained silent as their family, friends, and community were all supported by 3M. Plastics and forever=chemical poisoning of our water and atmosphere tell us why we DON'T want plentiful and cheap energy in a capitalist economy: It will further accelerate the Great Acceleration that's been underway since 1945. We will get more plastics in our food, water, air and ourselves; more forever chemicals throughout the atmosphere and the creatures who inhabit it, and may even cause more shifting in the Earth's axis.
