That letter is a reminder of how much things have changed, including the meanings of words, since 1946. Einstein supported the creation of a democratic bi-national state in Palestine. But Einstein considered himself, and was considered by others, to be a Zionist in good standing. Nowadays, if someone takes a stance similar to Einstein's they are likely to be branded as antisemites. And they are Jewish, they might be called "self-hating Jews" or "Jewish antisemites."
