One thing I would like to add is that today we face what is, in effect, an anti-communist party (split into various branches) that intellectually emerged from the Communist parties of the Lenin and Stalin eras. Fascism was the explicit anti-communist party. The answer to the riddle of why supposedly democratic or Democratic parties don't vigorously oppose fascism is that they share the fundamental anti-communism. Their slogan is "a kinder, gentler anti-communism" (with more sensitiivity training for the goons). I mention this because it seems to me that a "party of the Leninist type" is the wet dream of the anti-communist parties.
